2018 Moonlite Diner and Art’s Cars

On August 4th we met for lunch at the Moonlite Diner in Fort Lauderdale.

Comments from Butch (the Prez):
We had a nice turn out at our last meeting at the Moonlite dinner in Ft Lauderdale and we all got to see Al Polacheck’s beautiful car collection. I think we had 21 people. Thanks again to Al.

Notice what’s on the tray in the Rolls.

More from the Prez:
Its time for the International Drive your Studebaker Day” Sept 8 2018. I was looking for a place to celebrate this momentous occasion and I found that Pack’y sports bar in west Boca is holding their cruise in that day so I think that would be a good place to drive our Studebaker’s and have dinner and swap car story’s.  I have been there before and its a nice place.  Here are the details;

11379 Palmetto Park Rd  Boca Raton
Pacty’s is on Palmetto Park Rd. west of SR7/441 .
Palmetto Park Rd is South of Glades Rd exit and north of Sample rd Florida turnpike exits

It starts at 5pm- 9pm so lets get there between 5-6  and hope the rain Gods are with us.
PS
 I have been busy with these old cars. I have to replace the real axles, bearings and seals on my Champ truck. The 53 starter gears got worn down and would not turn the engine over , luckily it was in my garage when it died. so a new starter was installed. Another sad story, you all know I have this beautiful  green Fiat Spider and the Fiat Club of America was hosting there big annual event in a Walt Disney Hotel in Orlando and I signed up and made all my arrangements and on Friday evening I went to U Haul to get my trailer to tow the Fiat to Orlando and the trailer had a flat tire and no other trailer was available so I was stuck. The car had to be in place at 8:30 am Saturday morning.  We ended going up on Saturday morning with my son Patrick in his brand X Hybrid new car.   it was a nice affair and we stayed at the nice Disney hotel and met some nice people . But no Fiat for us to show.

That’s my story whats yours?  Let us know your story.
I know Larry Shortz 36 Stude street Rod blew a fuse on the way to Al’s garage at our last meeting.
